The JD Program

Setting New Standards in Legal Education and Among Christian Law Schools

Because our rigorous legal skills program is taught from a Christian worldview, we鈥檒l not only prepare you with the core competency skills you鈥檒l need to practice law, we鈥檒l teach you how to integrate faith and reason into your field. And because we鈥檙e approved by the Council of the Section of Legal Education and Admissions to the Bar of the American Bar Association (ABA),* you can confidently pursue your law degree knowing that Liberty Law follows national standards.

Graduate 鈥淧ractice-Ready鈥

At Liberty Law, you鈥檒l graduate 鈥減ractice-ready鈥 through our innovative practical skills program. Here, we鈥檒l teach you how to conduct negotiations, depositions, and arguments before a judge and a trial. You鈥檒l learn how to expertly draft legal documents like summary judgments, statutes, and operating agreements.

And you鈥檒l also have the opportunity to participate in a variety of externships that will even further prepare you to practice law.

Academic Support

The Academic Support Program and the Center for Legal Writing are available to help enhance your academic skills, while the Office of Student Affairs is here to offer support and encouragement in the other areas of your student life. In addition, our supportive professors will challenge you to learn, perform and succeed. You will also be assigned a mentor who will help you find and take advantage of all the academic resources the law school has to offer.

Campus Recreation proudly serves the Liberty University community with a wide variety of programs and facilities. Career Placement and Bar Passage

The Center for Career and Professional Development (鈥淐CPD鈥) provides students and alumni with the tools and support needed for success in their careers. Through comprehensive one-on-one and group coaching sessions, workshops, and other services, we aim to help students find internships, externships, and jobs that align with their interests, strengths, and goals. CCPD also provides comprehensive services to employers seeking Liberty Law students or alumni for summer, academic year, or post-graduate positions. CCPD can connect you with students and alumni, and customize a recruiting strategy for your organization.

Full and partial scholarships are available through the School of Law鈥檚 generous merit-based scholarship program. To qualify for a scholarship award, you must be accepted into the School of Law and meet scholarship criteria.

To receive a scholarship award, you must accept admission to the School of Law, submit your confirmation deposit, and enroll in our Juris Doctor program.
